Matt leads University City District (UCD), a partnership of anchor institutions, business leaders, and community groups invested in the shared vitality of the 2.4 square mile area of Philadelphia.
A.J. Adams
Director of Partnerships

Adrian “A.J.” Adams develops and executes all workforce programming at the Navy Yard and works to expand The Skills Initiative’s regional impact within the Life Sciences through business engagement and training efforts.
Daniel Atik
Career Specialist

In this role, Daniel supports Skills Initiative alumni by connecting them with career opportunities that further their career development.
Patrick Bayer
Director of Economic Mobility

Patrick develops and manages special projects at the Skills Initiative using his expertise in organizational data systems and economic mobility strategies.
Morris Burns
Manager of Applicant Experience

Morris guides applicants through the recruitment process, improving efficiency and equity while driving outcomes.

Executive Director

Cait oversees the overall management, strategy, and operations of the organization to fulfill its mission and achieve its goals.

Data Quality and Relationship Manager

Mimi is responsible for supporting the Good Jobs Challenge EDA Grant and the Recruitment Team. She serves as the primary data manager and provides Salesforce support for The Skills Initiative team.

Senior Director of Programs

Dr. Romaine serves as an expert on instructional design methodologies that allows her oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of key aspects of The Skills Initiative’s nationally recognized job training program.

Giftie is responsible for implementing The Skills Initiative’s signature cohort-based program, demonstrating a deep commitment to empowering individuals through skill enhancement.
